I heard a story from my husband about an incident involving a Navy Seal, and his mom.  The names and place will remain a secret, as I tell you this little story which exemplifies the respect the MERE MENTION of a Navy Seal and what they are capable of.  It seems there was this supervisor, who was of an ethnic group who believe that women are to be subservient to all men.  The supervisor was always belittling the women who worked in his office a branch of government, even to go as far as throwing their paperwork on the floor. There was a woman who worked in the office who had a son who was a Navy Seal. My husband, worked in a near by office also a supervisor, for a department of this government office.  My husband was blessed, to see this exchange, and I was fortunate to hear about it as the following relates.  The Navy Seal came to visit his mother at her place of employment, the government agency with the chauvinistic supervisor. As the supervisor was coming out into the corridor the Navy Seal and his mom were walking towards him. When the two parties met in the corridor the Navy Seal introduced his self to the supervisor. The supervisor was literally shaking, my husband stated. The Navy Seal then stated to his mother’s supervisor the following, “You know the line of work I am in, people come up missing all the time”.  My husband said then the two parties then went on their way. My husband said not only did the Navy Seal’s mom not ever have a problem again with the supervisor, but neither did the other women who worked in this obnoxious supervisor’s department.  I love this story.  The Navy Seal’s are regarded as patriots, people of their world and above all other great qualities, protectors of our country. Ashton Kutcher is along with his wife, Demi Moore, a serious supporter and fundraiser for several charities and worthwhile causes.  It is refreshing to see someone who cares about the world around him be chosen to act in a show that makes people laugh and takes people away from what is  going on in the world for a while.  Ashton Kutcher is just a guy who likes to entertain and use his fame to help others.  Charlie Sheen the former star of Two and Half Men, has been so absorbed with his own self interests, be it from his descent back into drug abuse that he used the show as vehicle to inflict pain on ex-wife, Denise Richards, and basically anyone who was holding him accountable for his behavior.  I still feel sorry for Charlie, but he needs help and maybe now the reality that the show is now no longer focused on him, may be the push back to reality that Charlie needed.   Ashton, just makes this whole mess for C.B.S. now so much better.  He is a class act in the public eye. Mr Kutcher is friends with his wife Demi Moore’s ex-husband Bruce Willis, which just gives you an  idea on what kind of guy he is. Ashton, raises money for causes such as Japan relief, fighting human trafficking and spending his time working for children who need help in various ways.  There also many other ways he uses his time and resources to make life better for others. I think from a very small age he learned his compassionate ways from having a twin brother with severe health challenges. So, I say to Charlie Sheen’s former employers thankyou,for picking someone who has more to say in interview, than he is the man with tiger blood, and the gift to modern day world. Charlie I pray you get the help you need and to Ashton Kutcher, God bless, you I know you don’t need to take this job but you did, and doing so you helped in extending the career of many talented people on the show both in front of the camera and behind.  I look forward to watching you and the rest of the talented cast. The Appalachian project helps repair homes and improve neighborhoods. Our church is sponsoring a group of wonderful people to go and work with the Appalachian project. Dear Folks,  today as I am looking out my window that shows the back yard and anal, I feel truly blessed.  At one time I was a single mom,   living on a very busy street that led to I-75  the biggest expressway in Mich.   I-75 extends thru the state of Florida, where I now live. I as a 27 year old woman looked out to see concrete in my front yard.  Now thirty years later I look out too see a beautiful canal view.  I want you to know however that in the home with the concrete view, I also felt truly blessed. I had both my children,  Taren Wilson, and David Ashwell. In those days I often was in a   survival mode to take care of my children,my animal family,  at the time my  Paleface and Nate.  I now am at the point that  I can give back in a more substantial way than I could when I was a young lady with a lot of responsiabilities.  I started this blog “Taking On A Cause ” to let people know ways they can help causes,and  people, that are  bothin their community and located nationally in  our country and finally around the world. I really want to support good people doing good things and I have been able to do that! I am growing and have ways I want to improve and grow this  blog. One very good idea that I came upon is Social Vibe.   Social Vibe,  which allows a person to take action  and support great organizations, is  a short advertisement program , answering questions and gaining  credits or as they call them balloons  for a charity.    I just read Cindy Holman’s blog. Dear readers I think you should too.  There is a great video featured on it and wise words from Cindy!  Thanks Cindy, I have been encouraging my readers also friends and family, to get  and read the book and  to see the movie. I appreciate that  there are other bloggers out there doing  the same thing!  Soul Surfer the story of Bethany Hamilton,  is a positive movie that especially our young people should see and hopefully inspired!

I appreciate very much that many celebrities encourage their fans to think outside the box in one’s life  and to look around their own neighborhood and town for opportunities to volunteer.   Harrison Ford, one of my favorite actors  is walking the walk, not just doing the talk.  Harrison, recently along with his son Ben, appeared in an advertisement campaign, to make the public aware of the many  agencies,   who could use people to spend some of their personal time and talents in helping a great  cause.  In the one advertisement, Harrison and Ben who are ambassadors for the organization EIF - the “Entertainment Industry Foundation“, a group that seeks out opportunities in several ways a person can volunteer. This magazine article that I read featured   ”Create The Good Organization” as a source for ways to volunteer.  The article  informs a person of  several different opportunities available for one to volunteer. This  article also mentions the volunteering opportunities that are literally in one’s own backyard. Something as helping an elderly neighbor with  lawn maintenance or by running errands for the neighbor  or even assisting the neighbor by driving them to an appointement.  On this blog ,”Takingonacause”  I realize that especially the little everyday events like preparing a meal ,or walking a dog, for someone who is recovering from surgery ,may  not seem like a big deal, but for the person who is not able to do these daily tasks,  someone helping them is a  God send. For a person to volunteer to do these services, a feeling of  accomplishment  often is the result of the good deed. He or she has accomplished will often feel they have done something worthwhile. Please,  take a look locally for ways you can help your own community or the website

Betty White is a great actress and comedienne. Betty has appeared on several television programs, perhaps among the best known of these are ”The Golden Girls” and ”The Mary Tyler Moore Show“.Currently she is appearing in “Hot In Cleveland“  on the station- TV Land. Many years ago I saw, writer and motivational speaker. Tom Sullivan on a television interview program.  Tom is blind  and uses a seeing eye dog or now called a working dog to aid him in his daily tasks, and his journeys. This gives  him the gift of independence from other people. Tom had told the story of how his former seeing eye dog , had gone blind and now he had a new dog. Tom mentioned that Betty White,  had adopted his dog, he was very relieved and happy, because he knew how she loved animals. In her various television shows, when possible she has with the help of the creative team on the program to merge stories about, strays, adoption of animals, and rescue shelters,  also tell the public about spay and neuter programs. In guest appearances I have seen of Betty White  on the most popular of talk shows, where she never fails to discuss adoption of animals and ways you can help!  Betty for all that you have done personally, professionally, I want to thankyou, and say you set a great example of living a life of encouraging others of acting out your hearts desire for saving and caring for animals, and not just mouthing the words. I recently had a blog about encouraging  support for the movie “Soul Surfer” about the true life story of Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm in a shark attack at age thirteen. This past Sunday Bethany was the featured guest on the “Hour Of  Power” television program.Pastor Sheila discussed with Bethany her strong f aith in God, and Jesus.  In the interview Bethany quoted several bible verses and how they helped her thru the difficult  physical rehabilitation process.  Bethany was also worried she would never be able to professionally compete again as a surfer. During the short time she had surfed before the loss of her arm, she had already won awards, and national acclaim.  Bethany overcame her challenges to once again compete professionally!  I am so happy she shared her story first in a book, then in this inspiring movie. Karen Taylor-Good, creative songwriter. a person who soul is as golden as her voice.  I thankyou for sharing your song, Precious Child with the world. Thru the release of your song without cost you have given many people words they can anchor their grief to.  I also know you have other inspirational songs that people can buy for very reasonable  rates, and that you speak to groups with your very highly successful motivational style.  I admire you for taking all your talents ,and blessing us by sharing them with the world. Karen Taylor-Good if anyone deserved their name, it is you! The beautiful videos created on places such as Youtube.com, embedding the song that you offer as an easy to download without cost are amazing. I just wanted to say when people tell me how the world is going to “ you know and a basket”, I tell them there are still so many wonderful people. You are definitely in that categorie! You created a soul rendering song, upon the loss of your twenty-one year old nephew. That song Precious Child,  now gives a certain peace to others who grieve.
